Kraft is planning to re-domicile parts of its business to Zurich in a move that could cost the UK millions in lost taxes.

Kraft confirmed over the weekend it was integrating its Birmingham-based Cadbury business into its existing European operations but insisted the change would not significantly impact British staffing levels.

The move could see Cadbury become the next protest target after high-street chain Topshop was forced to close its flagship Oxford Street store on Saturday due to demonstrations relating to boss Sir Philip Green’s tax affairs.

Kraft is expected to finalise the changes next year.
