Twinings has had the greatest rise in average price, of 9.8%, as a result of a shift to pricier fruit and herbal infusions and green tea. Still, value sales are down by £1m and 5.1 million fewer units have been shifted. The brand has spent £10m on packaging improvements and £6m on marketing, it says.
