The series of high profile sporting occasions combined with a rise in temperature will boost the beer business and the brewer is making sure it has filled in the gaps in its armoury. Pint cans, stubbies and a combination of multipacks are being brought into the ranks. Managing director Keith Hogg said: "The big brands are getting bigger and, as their appeal broadens to other drinkers and different occasions, we need to ensure we are meeting the needs of these new markets." He said the new packs would help retailers capitalise on this and reach critical price points. New into the range will be pint cans for John Smiths and Foster's and a collection of different multipacks. To capitalise on the demand for beer in glass a Foster's 275ml bottle six packs will be introduced for multiples and specialists. It will be followed by a 12 pack later in the summer. A new 440ml can 10 pack of the brand is being brought in for specialists and convenience stores to give them a chance to reach an attractive price point. Sales of Kronenbourg 1664 330ml bottles should be boosted by the introduction of a 10 pack and John Smith's Extra Smooth cans will be offered in eight and 18 packs. {{DRINKS }}
