Heinz has launched a Sq-Easy 250g tomato ketchup tube designed for children. The tubes go on sale next week, targeted at a core six to nine year old market. Kids can direct the stream of ketchup from a new fine control nozzle so they can make patterns and designs on their food. A Heinz spokesman said there were no plans to follow the American lead with green Sq-Easy ketchup: "Research suggests Americans are happier with coloured foods than we are in the UK. We do not think green ketchup would go down well in England." In a 10 week on-pack promotion, children can collect two semi-permanent transfers with the tubes, to bake on to crockery (rsp 99p for 250g). Further marketing support is scheduled for next year. {{P&P }}
