Bollinger this week unveiled a non-vintage rosé Champagne that has taken almost a decade to develop.

The new wine is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier. The red wine that gives the Champagne its pink colour comes exclusively from the company's Grand Cru vineyards in the heart of the Champagne region.

"This interpretation is true to its distinctive house style and heritage," said Bollinger head Ghislain de Montgolfier. "It is très Bollinger."

The new Champagne is available in Selfridges stores from this week, rsp £55.99, and will be rolled out to other retailers from 1 May.
