Baxters is souping up its offerings with new flavours across all ranges.
The number two canned soup brand behind Heinz (Focus on Canned Foods, The Grocer, September 10, 2005) is adding varieties to tempt consumers over the winter months.
Cream of Leek has been
added to the Favourites range while Butternut Squash & Bean joins the Healthy Choice line-up, which contains less than 1% fat.
Baxters has also expanded its most recent range - calorie and fat-controlled Healthy Helpings - by adding Chicken & Vegetable Casserole. Cream of Red Pepper is being introduced as part of the vegetarian range, while seasonal soups are being launched within the chilled range, starting with Pea & Ham for autumn to be followed by Beef & Vegetable this winter.
The company said it had seen significant sales growth in ambient products since cutting sugar, fat and salt.
