Capespan has relaunched its Cape brand fruit juices with new flavours described as "non-mainstream, but accessible".
The Cape mango and apple, Cape grape, raspberry and blueberry, and Cape tropical juice drinks replace the previous, more exotic, flavours which included passionfruit and lychee. As well as new packaging and revamped flavours, the range has a new pricepoint expected to be 89p, compared with the £1.19 of the previous flavours.
The relaunch is one of five npd projects under way at Capespan, said Alistair Phillipson, marketing manager for value added products.
Recent moves have included the launch of an Orange Muesli Bar featuring citrus fruit brand Outspan.
The relaunched juice range is produced by Princes and comes in resealable Tetra Brik aseptic cartons. They have a long ambient storage shelf life and no added chemicals or preservatives.
Capespan's tie-up with Princes Soft Drinks also resulted in the launch of two orange juice variants smooth and with juicy bits in January 2002.
