Allied Domecq ­ best known for its spirits brands ­ aims to show how strong its wine credentials are with a hefty premium wine and Champagne line up at the show. This will be the first London Wine Fair outing for Allied's new wine collection, and it is using the occasion as a showcase for the recent acquisitions. Prime spot on the stand will be newly acquired premium Champagne brands Mumm (including Cordon Rouge, Vintage 1995 and Mumm de Cremant) and Perrier-Jouët (including Grand Brut and Vintage 1995). ADSW will also showcase wines from California (including Atlas Peak Sangiovese and Napa Valley Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot), Spain (Rioja brand Marques de Arienzo) and Argentina (Bodega Balbi). Fortified wine brands Cockburn's port and Harvey's sherry will also be making an appearance. Peter Ayling, business development director at ADSW, who is responsbile for the wine portfolio, said: "The acquisition of Mumm and Perrier-Jouët has not only added critical mass to the company's wine portfolio.
