Jägermeister is launching the first brand extension in its 80-year history.
Jägermeister Spice, a 25% abv cinnamon and vanilla variant of the liqueur, will be available exclusively in Tesco from this week (rsp: £20/70cl).
Promotional activity for Spice will highlight the drink’s suitability for use in a variety of cocktails, as well as being served neat over ice, said brand owner Mast-Jägermeister.
The company said the sweeter taste profile and lower abv of Spice - already available in Germany and the US - had attracted new drinkers to Jägermeister.
“It has proved very popular among female drinkers in these markets,” added marketing director Nicole Goodwin.
