Aldi has started selling its £79.99 tablet again and claims to have “considerably” increased stock levels to “meet shopper demand”.

The discounter previously sold the Lifetab, an exclusive Specialbuy item, in December. However, it received a slew of complaints from customers who struggled to find the item after the 9,000 units sold out in 24 hours. The tablet went back on sale on Thursday.

“Following the popularity of the last Lifetab Specialbuy, we have increased stock levels this time to meet shopper demand,” said an Aldi spokeswoman. “Our Specialbuys are sold on a ‘when it’s gone, it’s gone’ basis so we would still advise shoppers to get to stores early.”
