Aldi has announced it will create 3,000 jobs in the UK over the next year.

The discounter said it would be looking to fill roles across all parts of the business, from store managers to stock assistants. It will also look to fill over 100 spaces on its graduate recruitment scheme.

“Aldi is looking to recruit more than 100 graduates this year – more than ever before – and with a rolling recruitment deadline, this will continue into next year,” said Richard Holloway, Aldi’s head of graduate recruitment.

“We’re looking for outstanding candidates who can offer something beyond academic achievements. Strong personalities, work experience, hobbies and leading teams at university are key strengths that we have identified.”

He added: “In addition, we are always on the lookout for new store recruits. We will create a training programme that suits our candidates and will last about six weeks.”
