Aldi has trademarked the ‘Has no’ name under several food and drink categories, fuelling speculation the discounter is set to launch a free-from own-label range.

It has also registered a rustic-looking ‘Has no ’ logo, styled as if printed on hessian cloth. Both were done under sections 29 and 30 - covering ready meals and snacks made from ingredients including mushrooms, chick peas, falafel, rice, pasta, muesli and grains - plus section 32, which covers beer and lager.
