Wrigley is replacing its 10-stick packs of Doublemint and Spearmint gum with a 15-stick format.

Rolling out from next month, the new packs would benefit retailers as outers had been cut from 20 to eight packs and were single rather than double-facing so would take less space on shelf, said Wrigley. The rsp has risen from 39p to 59p.

Spearmint had done particularly well in indies recently, with sales up 16% [Nielsen 12 w/e 28 January 2012], added the brand.
