Anchor is reviving its popular ‘Made by cows’ adverts with a new four-week national TV campaign for the butter brand, starting this week.

The ads – which portray a tongue-in-cheek version of a typical day in the life of an Anchor cow and are set to the Guns ‘n’ Roses song Paradise City – first hit the small screen in May last year.

Anchor brand manager Louise Turnbull said the ads had proven “extremely popular” with consumers and had helped take the Anchor brand in a different direction, “which is why we’ve decided that the cows are coming back on TV”.

Anchor, which is produced by Arla Foods, is the UK’s third-largest butters and spreads brand.
