Tropicana orange juice and Pink Lady and Empire apples look set to be the biggest casualties on supermarket shelves of an escalating EU-US trade war.
The EU could impose 100% duties on these products as early as June 18.
Chief executive of the Fresh Produce Consortium Doug Henderson said: "If the shortlist is implemented, it will stop US imports of apples into the UK 6% of UK apple consumption."
Henderson said brands such as Pink Lady, Washington Red Delicious and Empire would be affected.
The British Soft Drinks Association said US not-from-concentrate orange and grapefruit juices would be hit. This would affect brands such as market leader Tropicana, but also retailer own-label products.
