French stone fruit estimates, covering peaches, nectarines and varieties used for industrial purposes were revealed at the international Europech conference this week. First crop indications point to there being little changeover last season with the Languedoc/Roussillon region still being the largest supplier with 200,000 tonnes out of a total of over 450,000 tonnes. The apricot crop, however, is heavier and expected to reach in excess of 160,000 tonnes, an increase of around 10,000 tonnes on the five-year average. {{FRESH PRODUCE }}
