Baxters Food Group has promoted brands controller Kerr Arthur to UK marketing director.
Arthur's remit is to "develop new creative platforms" to promote Baxters' soup ranges, pickles, chutneys and preserves throughout the UK.
He will report directly to chairman and chief executive Audrey Baxter and will join the Baxters Food Group board.
Arthur joined Baxters 12 months ago from brewer Scottish & Newcastle, where he worked on promoting brands such as Foster's, Miller and Becks.
He takes over the marketing director's role from Andrew Field, who will now be concentrating on developing special projects for the company.
Field joined Baxters as sales and marketing director for European ambient brands in 2005. Prior to that he was a managing consultant in the food and drink industry, working with brands such as Volvic, Guinness, Birds Eye, Wall's and Britvic.
