Asda has announced plans to double its range of organic lines by the end of the year. It currently sells 150 organic dairy, grocery, produce and wine products, sold at prices between 5-10% cheaper than its competitors. Asda claims this pricing system has driven a "remarkable" sales growth in organics. Asda nutritionist Susan Malcolm said: "A basket of organic products can be more than double the price of standard items. "We felt there was plenty of room for all retailers to improve their prices. "We set ourselves the challenge to establish a fair price for organics and make them accessible to all shoppers" {{NEWS }}
