This year's British Asparagus campaign will focus on showing consumers how to create 'restaurant-style food at home'.

The £30,000 campaign will promote a series of recipes and wine and beer recommendations to help consumers recreate the feel of eating out at home for under £10.

Recipes will be available via the British Asparagus website, together with diet and nutrition information and contact details for growers selling direct.

Penetration for asparagus reached almost 12% during the 2008 British asparagus season, campaign organisers reported.
