Retailers have expressed doubts over the future of low-carb despite figures in The Grocer that reveal the total low-carb market grew by more than 2,000% over the past year.

Growth was led by sales of low-carb bread, beer and lager, ready-made drinks and snack bars, all of which experienced year-on-year growth of more than 1,000%, according to TNS.
