The promotional heat is building within alcoholic drinks as we approach Christmas with an increasing number of promotions evident in store.
Baileys is of particular note this week with price promotions on gondola ends.
In terms of the chart rankings, Walkers leaps to the top of the brand share chart this week. It has a glut of promotions including buy-one-get-one-free offers, price promotions and other multibuys.
Its activity has forced Cadbury down to second place, while Birds Eye remains at number three and Heinz drops to fourth.
There are three new entries: Coca-Cola, Dove and Fox’s. Coca Cola is the highest new entry at number six with multibuys, especially on the 2-litre bottle.
Dove concentrates on multibuys while Fox’s features bogof offers almost exclusively.
There are a number of developments just outside the chart. Andrex only just fails to make the top 10 and has a number of gondola end displays in stores.
