Baileys is testing a third flavour in airport shops in the UK, mimicking the launch strategy of the first two new Baileys flavours.
Baileys With a Hint of Coffee will be in World Duty Free shops throughout March before being launched in Alpha and Nuance shops in April.
Travel retail was used as a test launch for the Baileys mint chocolate and crème caramel flavours ahead of a full domestic launch in 2006.
Baileys mint chocolate has become a top 50 spirits brand in take-home in its own right [Nielsen]. The company said it had decided to test the new flavour in airports as the location offered a broad consumer profile.
