The Eat in Colour fresh produce initiative has taken a bizarre twist with the recruitment of two former Big Brother contestants to promote healthy barbecue eating.

Twins Samantha and Amanda Marchant, “the Bar-B-Girls”, will be encouraging women to ease off on burgers and sausages and eat more salads and veg.

“We’re encouraging girls to say no to a mountain of meat, take control of the tongs and experiment with delicious side dishes for an altogether more healthy, tasty and colourful Bar-B-Q experience,” the twins said.

The girls will be promoting alternative recipe ideas on the Eat in Colour website.
