Swiss chocolate producer Barens is aiming to become a major force in UK confectionery after developing a new brand for British consumers.
The company has created Amador to fill what it sees as a gap in the market for "affordable" quality chocolate. The £1.99 range comprises 125g pouches of wrapped, filled milk chocolates available in mint, hazelnut and orange.
Barens, which hopes to become a recognised name in the UK within two years, said Amador is the first of several launches planned for the next 12 months.
