UDV is putting some life back into its French grape brandy Three Barrels with a repackaging exercise and a £300,000 marketing spend. Three Barrels has a consumer base of two million, most of whom are over 35. The repackaging, which includes new labels and a clear glass bottle, is designed to increase its appeal to a younger audience. The campaign this winter aims to make the most of the seasonal increase in demand ­ 24% of brandy is sold pre-Christmas. It includes sampling 100,000 visitors at the BBC Good Food Show in November where £1 money-off vouchers will be given away. There will also be sampling activity in the off-trade and a direct mail initiative. {{DRINKS }}
