Bass is warning retailers to think ahead to avoid the post Christmas hangover when beer sales take a dive. Off-trade marketing controller Linda O'Brien said: "Retailers can guard against the after-effects of the festivities by starting to plan a new year blueprint before the first Christmas cracker has been pulled." The brewer's independent sales force will be offering trading tips and suggestions. O'Brien said: "Big brands, the right packs and display can only do so much. It is more important that retailers review the way they market their store and consider whether they are putting on the right retail package." {{DRINKS }}
