British Retail Consortium MD Jeremy Beadles is leaving the consortium to head up the Wine & Spirit Trade Association.
He takes up the role of chief executive for the WSTA on January 1 next year, replacing Quentin Rappoport who left in April this year after seven years. Beadles has worked at the BRC for five years, joining as a policy director before moving up to commercial director and MD.
Prior to the BRC, Beadles was a solicitor with Blake Lapthorn and Stewarts for eight years.
Barry Sutton, chairman of the WSTA, said: “The sector needs a strong trade association and Jeremy is the right person to take the WSTA forward.”
