United Wineries is modernising its Berberana Dragon Spanish wine brand, with updated packaging, screw caps and the portfolio's first white variant.

The new white wine, Viura Sauvignon Blanc, is a blend of international and indigenous varieties. It will join Dragon's red and rosé varieties on shelf this month to tap the growing trend for Spanish white wines in the UK, rsp £4.99.

Dragon's entire portfolio has been re-packaged with lighter colours on labels and a bigger logo to give it a more contemporary feel. The white and rosé wines are also benefiting from screw caps on bottles, in another first for the brand.

"The redesigned Dragon range offers consistent branding and provides greater shelf presence and visibility, while the white variant allows the brand to capitalize on the current trend for crisp Spanish white wines, said Laura Sainz, brand manager, United Wineries.
