Tesco and Sainsbury are among the retailers who have pledged to support the 2006 Primula Cup - the national five-a-side competition in aid of Caravan, the trade's welfare charity.

The event - which is sponsored by Primula, Coca-Cola, The Grocer and United Biscuits - takes place at the JJB Soccerdome on July 15.

Places are limited, so you need to book quickly to ensure that your team has a chance at being at this key sporting event for the grocery industry. As well as the chance of being crowned the best footballer in the business, all the teams that enter will be featured in a full match report in The Grocer.

Paul Lewney, commercial director of Kavli, which owns the Primula brand, says: "We are delighted to be working with Caravan to support this event for the third year as we help to raise awareness of the charity."

To book your place, please contact organiser Glenn Mousley on gcmatmag@aol.com or call 01304 824121.
