Two new products, a shaoxing wine and a cooking sake join the range, taking it to 10 products (rsp: £1.49 per 150ml). The Associated British Foods company added that the recipes of the original eight products had been improved and given "more authentic flavours".
Meanwhile, the packaging has been updated to boost shelf standout. It now boasts a more consistent design and includes serving suggestions.
The relaunched range would help further boost the £54m ingredients category, which had already risen 12% year-on-year [Nielsen], driven by scratch-cook consumers, said Tracy Hughes, Blue Dragon consumer and trade marketing controller.
