The country's top brewers, cider makers and wholesalers have pledged to continue supporting the Take Home Blueprint next year. The Blueprint, developed by the Federation of Wholesale Distributors, was launched in 1994. Under the scheme, FWD merchandisers visit stores to install industry agreed regional planograms and must-stock lists to guide the retailer's selections. The remerchandising has led to sales uplifts of between 9% and 20%. Alan Toft, director general of the FWD, said: "By the end of the year more than 5,000 independent retailers will have been involved in the beer and cider Blueprint. "Suppliers are more enthusiastic than ever in their support for the scheme." {{NEWS }}
