With ‘probably the best beer in the world’, Carlsberg has a winning slogan, etched into the national vernacular. But we haven’t seen it used in an ad for a while…

Until now. Carlsberg is back, and is painting a picture of its ideal supermarket. This store contains, for the benefit of any idea-hungry big four CEOs watching, masses of DIY equipment (specifically power tools), ‘sorry’ and ‘really sorry’ gift sections with presents for women, and outsized musical instruments. Oh, and lager, of course! Lots and lots of ice-cold Carlsberg.

OK, so it might only appeal to stereotypical dimwit blokes, as will this ad (and, to be fair, almost every lager ad). But the irresistible score - I’ve Had The Time of My Life, from Dirty Dancing - saves it.
