Walkers’ Do Us a Flavour promotion is back again, so it is with reassuring inevitability that Gary Lineker is here to whip up a bit of voting fervour for the six finalists.
And Gary is in cheerful form, taste-testing with the ‘public’. Can they tell the difference between a hot dog and some hot dog-flavoured crisps? Er… no. The blindfold defeats everyone, including a man who fails to differentiate between crisps and a live (and very cute) racoon.
This pleasingly surreal and corny (note Gary’s Roger Moore-style eyebrow elevations) series of ads features some clever association, too: the food looks good - lending its appeal to the otherwise visually unremarkable crisps.
We’ll just have to hope the cute racoon doesn’t become an ingredient.
