Soy sauce brand Kikkoman is turning its attention towards the Chinese new year in an on-pack promotion offering consumers the chance to claim a free restaurant meal.
The neck collar promotion, running across four varieties of its sauces and marinades, is timed to mark the Year of the Rooster, which starts on February 9. Restaurants nationwide have signed up and will offer two main courses for the price of one.
The promotion coincides with a consumer ad campaign in the national press. Sales and marketing manager Ben Briody said: “The promotion features on 375,000 bottles and will give excellent visual shelf impact at this key time of year.”
