Waitrose had a double win at this year’s Brammy Awards for the best products containing Bramley apples. Waitrose won for best family apple pie and was also named best multiple retailer at the event, which is run by the Bramley Campaign in association with The Grocer.
Lime Tree Pantry won the savoury category for its pork, cider and Bramley apple pie, while Farmhouse Fare won best innovative product for its apple and mincemeat eve’s pudding.
Best catering organisation was Sodexho, best media chef was Phil Vickery and best recipe writer went to BBC Good Food magazine. Pastry chef Claire Clark won the chairman’s award.
AG Parfett & Sons has renewed its sponsorship of Stockport County Football Club. The wholesaler will use the deal to promote Scandia, Landmark’s own-label lager, on the front of the team shirts in the 2005-2006 season.
