The ASA has thrown out a complaint made by brewer BrewDog about a Carling website.

BrewDog had complained that a cartoon showing how Carling lager was made was misleading as it did not show wheat and other malted barley substitutes being added. The ASA felt viewers would not expect the cartoon to provide a complete explanation of the process, and noted wheat was not always used.l BrewDog is planning to build a low-carbon plant in Aberdeenshire following investment of almost £2m from beer drinkers through an online share offer.
