Trade was looking brighter for the Danes on the bacon markets this week while others reported little change.
Danish traders said business was beginning to pick up. "People are beginning to realise that Christmas is round the corner and we are beginning to expect better things now," said one trader.
However the Dutch had little to report. Traders described the market as simply ticking over, with no noticeable uptake in demand approaching Christmas.
British traders also reported little change, with back bacon prices remaining weak, while streaky remains steady. One trader said they felt the legs market had peaked for Christmas, with prices lower than expected.
