How to share knowledge In its Road to Recovery strategy for British pigmeat, BPEX points to one example of greater supply chain cohesion. South West Agricultural and Rural Development is an innovative network of agricultural and land based businesses. Small groups of between four and 12 farmers have been established in the south west of England all linked electronically through the SWARD Information and Research Hub. Information is exchanged through a range of channels including a web site. In all more than 70 groups have been established with over 700 members participating. "Although this does not include many pig producers it is a concept that could be adopted by the pig industry to efficient knowledge transfer," says BPEX. {{MEAT }}
