Dairy co-operative Milk Link has made Mark Brooking membership director with a brief to strengthen existing links with retailers. Brooking explained: "We want to explore more processing opportunities and look forward to working with retailers on new product initiatives." Brooking was previously md at food chain consultancy Integra Food Secure, which he joined in 1998. From 1984-1998 he headed the Northern Ireland and Southern Counties team for the Tesco beef producers division of BOCM Paul's Animal Feed Company. He is an active farmer, with a 200 acre farm in South Devon. Milk Link has 2,700 members in south and south west England and chalks up annual sales of £300m. It was one of three cooperatives formed from the closure of the national Milk Marque cooperative. Brooking said he would be looking to consolidate existing membership within the group over the next year. {{PEOPLE MOVES }}
