Upstart brand Buster is enjoying strong sales growth while its big rivals flounder, new TNS data reveals.

Household cleaning brand Buster, made by Challs International and relaunched last year with a new look, saw sales rise 18% to £8.3m in 2008, while sales of SC Johnson's Mr Muscle and Unilever's Domestos slumped 27% and 22% respectively.

"Buster has tailored formulations for bathrooms or kitchens - whereas competitors only offer one-solution-fits-all type products," said sales director Kieran MacSweeney.
