Brockmans

Posh gin brand Brockmans has launched into the Co-op.

The 40% abv tipple, which is flavoured with juniper, lemon peel, bitter orange peel, coriander, blueberries and blackberries, will roll into 274 Co-op stores from 29 October (rsp: £34/70cl).

The brand had “developed a reputation for delivering customers both high-quality produce and good value”, said David John, retail manager of Indie Brands, which distributes Brockmans.

The Co-op had seen “phenomenal growth within the gin category” this year, said its spirits buyer Jonathan Grey. “Customers continue to trade up into more premium gins so there’s a great opportunity for Brockmans at Co-op.

“Both the look and feel of the bottle and the flavour profile of the liquid are exactly what our customers are looking for.”

It comes mid-way through a bumper year for the gin brand, which reported UK revenue growth of 90% for the six months to 30 June 2018, with total revenue up 35% to £4.7m on the back of new listings in Morrisons, Asda and Booths.
