Edinburgh Gin is making a move into RTDS with two new canned cocktails.
The brand has added a 6% G&T with posh tonic, and 5% abv mix of its Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liquer with ginger ale. Both have rolled into Tesco, but the G&T will only be available in its Scottish stores.
The move was “a reponse to consumer demand for premium RTDs”, said the brand. “A great deal of time and care has been taken to ensure the serve quality matched consumer expectations and delivered a good drinking experience,” added Edinburgh Gin UK MD Neil Boyd.
RTD sales surged last year, growing 4.6% to £238m and adding a cool £10m to its value [Nielsen 52 w/e 9 September 2017].
