The 2016 Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards are now open to businesses across Scotland.
Nineteen categories - nine for products and 10 for business performance - will be presented to food and drink businesses at a ceremony on Thursday 2 June at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. There are also gongs for product of the year and business of the year, chosen from the category winners.
“These awards recognise the best products, business practices and individuals that make Scotland a land of food and drink,” said James Withers, chief executive of Scotland Food & Drink, which organises the event with the Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland.
“They highlight the strength of our industry, the wealth of talent and skill countrywide across all sectors, as well as our world-leading expertise and innovation in the production of premium food and drink. Our expert panel of judges provides constructive feedback, which makes the awards a useful exercise no matter how entrants perform, while finalists and winners benefit from an impressive boost to their profile as consumer awareness of the awards grows every year.”
Businesses in Scotland can enter the awards online. Tickets for the event can be bought on the same page.
