Some of the world’s biggest suppliers have come together to back a new global digital media platform that aims to promote sustainable living.

Unilever, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Nestlé and Carlsberg have joined not-for-profit organisations such as Forum for the Future to launch the Collectively platform.

It will be updated daily by an independent editorial team with stories, information and solutions from the worlds of fashion, food, design, architecture, technology and more. The platform’s audience will be encouraged to submit ideas.

Ultimately, Collectively aims to help consumers act more sustainably - from buying, investing and campaigning to sharing an idea they believe in. The platform sponsors also hope it will grow the market for sustainable products and services.

“What makes Collectively unique is the first-of-its-kind coalition that sits behind it,” said Unilever chief marketing and communication officer Keith Weed.

“Some of the world’s leading brands and multinational companies have put aside their differences in recognition of the fact this is an issue that demands collective action.”
