Although Nestlé drops one place it maintains a strong presence in-store which, along with the success of Cadbury and the entry of Mars into the chart, has moved confectionery up by two places.
Stella Artois is the only alcoholic drinks brand in the chart despite the category taking the top spot. Other lagers contributing to the success of the category include Budweiser, Carling and Carlsberg. There is also increased activity on wine and a number of price promotions on spirits such as Gordon’s Gin and Bacardi.
Coca-Cola moves up six places with multibuys on the 2-litre bottle and 6-pack of cans.
