Cadbury holds at number one for the second consecutive week and has widened the gap on its rivals.
It stands four percentage points ahead of Walkers which moves up one place to number two in the brand chart.
Cadbury continues much as last week with multibuy offers running on boxed chocolates, such as Roses, and Advent calendars.
Although Nestlé drops one place it maintains a strong presence in-store which, along with the success of Cadbury and the entry of Mars into the chart, has moved confectionery up by two places.
Stella Artois is the only alcoholic drinks brand in the chart despite the category taking the top spot. Other lagers contributing to the success of the category include Budweiser, Carling and Carlsberg. There is also increased activity on wine and a number of price promotions on spirits such as Gordon’s Gin and Bacardi.
Coca-Cola moves up six places with multibuys on the 2-litre bottle and 6-pack of cans.
