Cadbury Schweppes has opened a public affairs office in Washington, DC, for its confectionery and beverage business in the Americas.

Deborah Louison will take on the role of vice president of government affairs throughout the Americas. She will be the company's primary contact with trade associations, NGOs, as well as provide counsel on Cadbury’s CSR programmes.

Louison, formerly senior vice president and director of global services at APCO Worldwide, will report to Cadbury Schweppes external affairs director Neil Makin who is based in London.
