Cadbury Schweppes will reveal its first-half results on Wednesday.

Analysts are expecting the confectioner to report pre-tax profit of between £376m and £398m, up from £344m the year before.

However, the City is also eager to hear how much Cadbury's recent product recall will cost the company, with reports suggesting that the figure could be as much as £40m.

The Grocer also revealed this week that sales of Cadbury's chocolate had fallen by 25% since the recall at the end of June.
