Cadbury Schweppes has sold its Australian jams, toppings and jellies business to Heinz Australia for A$70m (£29m).

The sale includes the grant of a licence to use the Cottee's and Rose's brands in certain categories in Australia and New Zealand, with completion expected in the third-quarter.

Cadbury has also sold its Canadian bulk and seasonal candy business Allan Candy to The Allan Candy Company for C$22m (£10m) and its Italian confectionery business Cadbury Italia to Leaf Italia for €9m (£6m).

Meanwhile, Cadbury Schweppes is set to shed 10% of its senior management as part of a restructure of its chocolate and gum business, according to reports in the Financial Times.
