Towards the end of last year Chicken Tonight's brand owner launched an aggressive campaign to support new additions to the range. Posters featured bright photographs of the ingredients in the products - which included the novel red chilli & vodka flavour - and were displayed across many of London's Underground stations.

Adverts to support the relaunch of Knorr's Ragú sauce followed the theme 'Put Knorr in, get more out' and aimed to drive home a strong health message, highlighting the fact that tomatoes are high in natural antioxidants. The campaign broke on the small screen, followed by cinema and press adverts also using the tomato message.

The Old El Paso brand, produced by General Mills, moved into sponsorship last November through a tie-up with a new cookery programme on UKTV headed up by Italian chef Gino D'Acampo. The programme, called An Italian Returns to Mexico, began on 20 November and comprises 10 episodes showing D'Acampo cooking various Mexican meals.
