Constellation Europe is investing £5m in the first TV campaign for its Echo Falls Californian brand. Targeting 25 to 55-year-old women, the campaign aims to associate the brand with times of relaxation. The ad will be aired on Channel 4, E4, ITV2 and Sky One in a six-week burst running until the beginning of August. "We only launched the brand about three and a half years ago but it has been very successful for us and we want to build on that," said Clare Griffiths, VP brands marketing. "The campaign positions Echo Falls as a quality, light wine perfect for any occasion." This campaign focuses on white and rosé wines in time for summer and there are plans for a second TV ad to be aired in the run up to Christmas, which will concentrate more on the red wines in the range. The TV campaign will be supported with PoS material and an on-pack competition offering consumers the chance to win a spa weekend. The company is also adding two new wines to the portfolio: a Pinot Grigio blush and a sparkling White Zinfandel, rsp £4.99 and £6.49 respectively.
